The e-scooter market is expected to grow 10% each year until 2030. By the end, predicting a value of $41.9bln. With this growth, innovative solutions and technologies have become accessible enough to incorporate into small-scale projects.

TOAO was created to connect different top-of-the-range technologies, and pack them into an e-scooter; delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency and safety.

The goal is to create a central hub. A circuit board that communicates and synchronises all input and output of the e-scooter – a main control unit (MCU). At its heart, a Raspberry RP2040 processor. This unit will control VESC, JKBMS, and KT LCD components. VESC motor controllers deliver incredible power with high efficiency. JK battery management systems improve longevity and protect/monitor the cells. KT LCD displays are accessible, popular, and familiar amongst the community. The RP2040, a dual core ARM processor, has enough potential to scale the central hub far beyond initial milestones. Internet connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS, even an AI model for battery management and range prediction is possible.

TOAO was also created to package these components into an e-scooter that’s one of a kind. Decals, colours, components will be all customisable and tuned for maximum efficiency and performance. Anything from 0 to 100 km/h is possible, and possible in style.
